Mr. Vandersluis is the President and founder of HMS Software, based in Montreal. He has an economics degree from McGill University and over 26 years of experience in creating and deploying project systems on some of the world's most recognized projects. Deploying enterprise project and portfolio prioritization environments for projects such as the CF-18 fighter aircraft upgrade with Bombardier, the James Bay Hydro development and the Hibernia Offshore GBS, Mr. Vandersluis has had to deliver systems, business processes, training and expertise across a wide range of business subjects.

Mr. Vandersluis has been published in numerous publications including Fortune Magazine, the Western University's prestigious Ivey Business Journal, the Project Management Institute's PMNetwork magazine, Computing Canada, Chief Project Officer magazine, the American Management Association's Handbook on Project Management and Project Times. He is the publisher of the popular blog EPMGuidance and publishes a column in Microsoft's Technet site for Enterprise Project Management called "From the Trenches".

Mr. Vandersluis has been a long standing member of the Project Management Institute, the American Association of Cost Engineers, and the Microsoft Project Users Group. He has consulted numerous project management system's vendors including Deltek and spent 5 years on the exclusive Microsoft Enterprise Project Management Partner Advisory Council.
